About the role
This full-time Chef De Partie role at the Bridgewater Inn in Bridgewater, SA 5155 is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and talented chef to join a dynamic culinary team. As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and customer service.
What you'll be doing
* Assist the Head Chef in the overall management and supervision of the kitchen team
* Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes to the Bridgewater Inn's high standards
* Ensure all food preparation and cooking meets food safety and hygiene regulations
* Contribute to the menu development process and suggest new and innovative dishes
* Manage kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and high-quality service
* Order and maintain stock levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients
* Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience
What we're looking for
* Several years' experience as a Chef De Partie or equivalent in a busy restaurant environment
* Formal culinary training or qualifications in hospitality or related field
* Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Creative flair and passion for developing innovative and delicious menu items
* Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a close-knit team
* Good communication and interpersonal skills

$78K-$85K plus retention bonus paid after 12 months
