The Leah Posluns Theatre is a state-of-the-art event hub poised to become a world-class venue in the city of Toronto.

Our theatre and exhibit curator will play a key role in elevating our programming quantity and quality through innovative events and exhibits.

As a creative and dynamic individual, you will bring knowledge and experience in programming, exhibits, and immersive experiences to this exciting opportunity.

You will work independently and as part of a team to source and negotiate contracts with independent and professional groups, ensuring high-quality performances within budget.

Strong relationship-building skills are essential for developing meaningful connections with members, partnerships, audiences, staff, and stakeholders.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Designing unique and specific programs and events for the Leah Posluns Theatre, continually innovating offerings to engage the community and beyond.
* Curating community art exhibits and visual displays, overseeing installations at both SRC and PJCC.
* Developing lasting and meaningful relationships with members, partnerships with community organizations, audiences, staff, and stakeholders.
* Collaborating with the Theatre and Admin teams to ensure high-quality execution of programs and daily operations.
* Liaising with the Leah Posluns Marketing Department to promote theatre programming, exhibits, and events to expand current and uncover new markets.
* Managing theatre and exhibit programming budgets and tracking expenses, maximizing impact.

Requirements:

* 5+ years of progressive work in the Arts & Culture industry, including 3+ years in supervisory roles.
* Educational background in Performing Arts or Production.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present at public platforms.
* Experience in the creation, implementation, and management of programs, events, and departmental budgets.
* Strong multitasking skills and flexibility to meet varying deadlines, independent self-starter with the ability to work irregular hours.
* Proven ability to effectively collaborate with many different teams, both internally and externally.
* A commitment to building Jewish Community and alignment with the JCC vision and mission.
* Knowledge and understanding of theatre technology to liaise well with Technical Manager.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) and Database Management.
