Want to work at Australia's most exciting destination?
Working inside the museum during operational hours (Thursday - Monday), you will be serving up and shaping the first impressions of MONA's guests. You will work alongside some of the country's finest food and beverage staff, delivering a world-class experience. You will help support the Void Bar manager and, with sustainability in mind, will present delicious food, fancy cocktails, exceptional wine (obviously), and the finest local craft beers.
The Gig:
* Support the Void bar team, leading by example
* Support the business by drawing on your knowledge and experience of classic cocktails and bar day-to-day operations
* Be motivated, and motivational - your attitude and experience is what counts
* Working with the Void team and using your knowledge to contribute to some seriously cool upcoming projects
* Be prepared for crafting individual cocktails for one, and festival-sized cocktails for the masses
* Kick some eco-friendly goals by maintaining sustainable strategies already in place
* Maintain equipment and stock inventories and regularly perform stock takes
* Good availability and flexibility over 4 operational days (Friday - Monday) and operational hours (9 am - 5 pm)
The You:
* Must have a minimum of 2 years bar experience in a similar role
* Interest and passion for sustainability
* Interest in creating low proof drinks with a produce focus
* Barista skills and experience preferred
* Excellent classic cocktail, craft beer, and local wine knowledge essential
* A deep desire to deliver a first-class customer experience
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills
* Ability to nurture an environment where guests have their expectations exceeded
* A positive and friendly attitude
* RSA essential
