Remuneration: $139, $142,254.44 per annum pro rata (+ super + 17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About the Opportunity

The Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 3 – Nursing Coordinator, Forensic Medical Service (Violence, Abuse and Neglect) provides expert leadership, clinical consultancy, research and education in the specialised field of medical and forensic responses to violence, abuse and neglect across Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD).

In this pivotal role, you will lead and coordinate the MLHD Sexual Assault Service, delivering integrated crisis and non-acute clinical care, forensic responses, and ongoing health navigation for victim-survivors of violence and abuse. As an advanced clinician and strategic leader, you will oversee clinical supervision processes, guide the development of new models of care, and contribute to statewide and national advancements in forensic nursing practice.

The role includes on-call and after-hours participation and requires close collaboration with NSW Police, Department of Communities and Justice, and other multidisciplinary partners to ensure a seamless and compassionate health response for individuals who have experienced violence, abuse or neglect.

About You:

You are a highly skilled and compassionate clinician with deep expertise in forensic and trauma-informed care. You bring advanced nursing leadership and exceptional critical thinking to complex and sensitive cases involving violence, abuse and neglect.

You are a confident communicator, able to lead under pressure and influence across systems. You thrive on building and mentoring specialist teams, advancing clinical practice through education and research, and ensuring the highest standards of ethical and evidence-based care.

As a qualified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, you are committed to excellence in forensic practice, interagency collaboration, and delivering trauma-informed, survivor-centred care across the lifespan.
