We are seeking a reliable and mechanically minded Bearing Service Technician to join our team on a permanent afternoon shift based at the wharf.
About the Role
This hands-on position involves servicing roll trailer bogies, including dismantling components, inspecting bearings, and carrying out repairs to ensure equipment remains safe and operational.
Key Duties
* Pulling apart bogies from roll trailers
* Removing wheels and inspecting bearings and casings for wear or damage
* Replacing worn tyres
* Identifying and repairing structural cracks in bogies
* Reassembling components and maintaining safety standards
About You
* Mechanical aptitude or maintenance experience preferred
* Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
* Strong attention to detail and safety focus
* Ability to work independently and within a team
