Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) | Swanston Centre
Barwon Health is inviting applications for the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) at Swanston Centre. This role offers a Permanent Part‑Time position (64 hours per fortnight).
Job Overview
As the ANUM, you will lead a multidisciplinary team within the Adult clinical service, overseeing the delivery of psychiatric treatment and care under a holistic Recovery‑Based Model.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide co‑ordination, leadership and supervision of unit staff.
* Ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based treatment for patients.
* Manage day‑to‑day operations of the unit, liaising with other services.
* Maintain compliance with Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022.
* Engage in rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Nurse (Division 1) with a Post‑Graduate Diploma in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.
* Minimum 2 years full‑time experience in adult psychiatry post‑qualification.
* Superior clinical skills in managing individuals with major mental illness or disability.
* Strong understanding of MHW Act 2022 and related amendments.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, delegating responsibilities and fostering teamwork.
