About the Role:
Southern Pacific Sands is a leading supplier of quality washed silica sand, bio – retention filtration medium, soil products and quality ready mixed concrete, servicing Brisbane and Southeast Queensland.
As the Batcher in Charge, you are responsible for ensuring the accurate batching of concrete in line with customer specifications, maintaining plant and equipment, and managing the day-to-day operational requirements of the site. This includes overseeing and coordinating yard operations and front-end loader activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
In this leadership role, you will also provide direction and support to team members, help manage workflow, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures to maintain smooth and effective site operations.
Role Requirements:
* Operate the batch plant to produce high-quality concrete in line with customer and job specifications
* Ensure accuracy in batching and timely dispatch of all orders
* Monitor stock levels and coordinate raw material deliveries to maintain uninterrupted production
* Perform basic plant maintenance, fault reporting, and housekeeping to maintain site standards
* Oversee and coordinate staff and daily site operations, providing direction and support where required
* Step in to operate an Agi when operationally required
* Lead and promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety procedures
What We're Looking For:
* Front End Loader, Batching and Agi experience desired
* Good communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work Monday to Friday and every second Saturday, including early starts.
* A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and lead
* High level of commitment to safe work practices
* HR Driver's licence
* Possess a clean driving record
* White Card (or Blue Card) - construction induction
* Pass a pre-employment medical
