Full Training Provided Rollingstock Maintainer (Avon Depot)

Remuneration/Benefit: Attractive wages as per EA

About the role:

Entry-level role within the rollingstock maintenance team, offering on-the-job training and strong pathways for long-term growth. If you're looking to kick‑start your career in the rail industry, we're seeking local applicants from Northam and surrounding areas to join our maintenance team at the Avon depot. As a Rollingstock Maintainer, you'll support the maintenance, servicing, and repair of rail wagons to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

Your new role:

Key Responsibilities:

* Inspect, repair, and maintain rail wagons, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
* Perform scheduled servicing, component replacement, and modifications as required.
* Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on wagon components, including brakes, couplings, suspension, and pneumatic systems.
* Shunting of rollingstock and operating shunt units.
* Safe operation of mobile plant and equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
* Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment.

About you:

* Strong commitment to safety
* Current unrestricted WA driver's license
* High level of knowledge of functions, defects, and fault findings with equipment
* Cert III in Engineering or equivalent would be highly regarded, however, is not essential
* Substantial level of skills in repair, maintenance, and overhaul of machinery although not essential, would be highly regarded
