Based in Perth, the Operations & Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the delivery, deployment, and sustainment of operational and engineering systems (KORE Optix hardware suite of camera solutions) across multiple mining regions. This role owns end‐to‐end operational performance, including system deployment, maintenance, reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.
Working closely with internal teams, contractors, and mining clients, the role ensures systems are production‐ready, operationally reliable, and supported throughout their lifecycle. The position combines strategic operational leadership with hands‐on oversight to drive safe, scalable, and high‐performance outcomes across geographically distributed sites.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage global operations to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of systems deployed to mining clients primarily across Australia, Canada, and LATAM.
Own end‐to‐end operational delivery, including client onboarding, system design input, hardware and software deployment, commissioning, preventive maintenance programs, and post‐installation support.
Deliver and oversee service and preventive maintenance activities in line with manufacturer specifications to minimise unplanned downtime and maximise system availability.
Act as the operational and technical escalation point for complex system and field issues, including investigating field quality concerns, implementing corrective actions, and executing technical service bulletins (TSBs) to improve product reliability and protect brand reputation.
Provide technical and operational leadership to internal teams and contractors, ensuring consistent standards, capability uplift, and strong performance across regions.
Train and onboard new technicians, and develop comprehensive operational documentation including work instructions, service manuals, calibration procedures, and process guides to standardise service, rental, and pre‐sales workflows.
Manage production planning, purchasing, inventory control, international logistics, service tooling, and workshop equipment, ensuring calibration, readiness, and effective stock management at head office and in the field.
Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders (including sales and marketing), including preparation, testing, and maintenance of demo units for trials, demonstrations, and customer evaluations.
Work closely with R&D to provide operational feedback into product improvements and contribute to new product development initiatives with a strong focus on manufacturability, reliability, and field performance.
Ensure compliance with OHS standards, site safety requirements, and applicable mining and regulatory frameworks across all operational and service activities.
Contribute to senior management forums, providing input on operational efficiency, service strategy, growth planning, and cross‐border operations.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience deploying engineered hardware solutions in mining, industrial, or asset‐heavy environments.
Strong background in operations management, hardware system deployment, and lifecycle support within safety‐critical or remote operating conditions.
Demonstrated capability in managing preventive maintenance programs, field service operations, quality investigations, and corrective action processes.
Experience working with internal cross‐functional teams, including R&D, sales, contractors, and external partners.
Solid understanding of inventory management, logistics, tooling, and workshop operations.
Well‐developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with site‐based personnel and senior leadership.
Practical, solutions‐focused mindset with a strong emphasis on execution, standardisation, and continuous improvement.
Suitable technical background in hardware engineering or related field is required.

Role Location
Perth‐based role, working from home with regular access to the Perth warehouse to support operational activities, equipment readiness, and logistics coordination.
Regular domestic and international travel is required to support operational sites, project delivery, and key stakeholder engagement.
The role involves approximately 10‐20% travel commitment for operational sites and stakeholder engagement activities.
Occasional travel to Melbourne during first year and regular travel to APAC mining project locations is expected.
Australian citizenship is required for this position.
