Job Title: Infrastructure Planning and Design Manager

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Moira Shire Council as a key leader in their infrastructure planning and design team. As the Manager of Infrastructure Planning and Design, you will be responsible for leading a talented team of engineers and planners to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects that meet the needs of the local community.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Lead and coach a high-performing team across design and development engineering, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
* Project Planning: Strategically plan future infrastructure projects, preparing feasibility assessments and ensuring delivery of concept and detailed designs that align with council goals and industry standards.
* Project Readiness: Oversee project readiness to ensure timely delivery of capital works programs, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
* Community Engagement: Lead community and stakeholder consultation processes, providing expert technical advice and ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Technical Expertise: Provide high-level understanding of infrastructure design standards, such as IDM and Austroads, and ensure that all projects meet these standards.
Requirements
* Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering are required, with eligibility or current registration under the Engineers Registration Act 2019 (Civil).
* Experience: Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary infrastructure planning and design teams is essential, with a strong track record in delivering community infrastructure projects.
* Skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated stakeholder management, community consultation, and technical reporting expertise are essential, along with excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
