Job Description
This casual role provides an opportunity to work within our venue and our experienced team to deliver an outstanding food experience to our guests.
In this dynamic environment, you'll need to be agile and adaptable, always focused on providing our guests with a memorable, high-quality experience.
The Role
1. Work with senior chefs to ensure food standards are maintained to meet guest expectations.
2. Demonstrate confidence and competence in preparation and cooking techniques.
3. Monitor and maintain the quality of dishes at all stages, including preparation and presentation.
4. Collaborate closely with the team in all aspects of kitchen operations, adhering to guidance and direction.
5. Follow established guidelines for food safety and handling.
6. Ensure proper stock rotation, monitor stock levels, and assist with food costing and control as required.
7. Contribute to kitchen presentation and operations, including maintenance, mise en place, and service.
8. Show high respect and understanding for Work Health & Safety procedures.
Qualifications
* Trade cooking qualifications are essential.
* Experience in a commercial cookery environment; experience in functions is preferable.
* Respectful and professional approach to work and teamwork.
* A passion for food and a desire to learn.
* Ability to adapt, show resilience, and maintain high standards under pressure.
* Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Care and competence in maintaining high standards, even when under pressure.
* Physical fitness to perform role-related tasks, including standing for long periods, heavy lifting, and moving goods.
* Understanding of safe work practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
* Flexible availability, primarily night shifts from 2 pm to 10 pm, with occasional lunch and breakfast service.
