Poolside Hunter Valley is a successful independent family-owned business located in the Hunter Valley NSW. We specialize in pool & spa maintenance for residential and commercial applications.
We have an opportunity for a service technician to join our growing business. Previous experience preferred but not required. All applications will remain confidential. Will train the right person.
The successful applicant should be a well presented capable mechanically minded person with previous experience in this field and attention to detail, primary duties will be to maintain, repair, clean and chemically treat both residential and commercial pool and spas.
Persons with sales or service experience or who have worked within the swimming pool industry will be highly considered.
On the job support and training will be provided to the successful applicant. A service vehicle will be supplied; Company phone will be included along with an above industry standard salary.
We are looking for someone who:

Job duties would include but not be limited to;
* Servicing Pools, including backwashing, checking equipment, emptying skimmer baskets.
* Cleaning pools, including scooping, brushing and vacuuming.
* Liaising with clients and other trades.
* Water testing for proper pool chemistry and adding chemicals as needed.
* May involve some heavy lifting.
* Troubleshooting pool and equipment problems.
* Sound knowledge of chemical controllers and dosing systems.
* Experience in all types of filtration systems.
* Inspecting, monitoring, repairing and maintaining pool equipment such as filters, chlorinators and pumps.
* Ability to identify potential equipment failures
* Installing new equipment and systems.
* Maintaining appropriate service and repair records.
To fill this role you will need:
* A current New South Wales manual drivers licence
* Physical fitness
* Mechanical aptitude
* Commitment, motivation, reliability and a strong work ethic
* Customer focus
* Availability on weekdays and some weekends
* Be able to communicate effectively with clients, other team members and other trades.
