About Pyramid Residential Care Centre:
Pyramid Residential Care Centre is a charitable organisation developed by community, for the benefit of community. As a not-for-profit organisation, our facility financially depends on its own fundraising activities, residents' contributions and Commonwealth Government subsidies.
The Centre is a custom designed and built facility, offering 76 high care needs beds for residents. Located 20 minutes south of Cairns in Gordonvale.
PRCC has recently expanded our residential care accommodation at the Centre with significant investment being made into our facility's infrastructure, our team and the quality of our service. It is a very exciting and challenging time to be involved
About the Role
As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a key role in delivering person-centred care that enhances the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents. You will work closely with nursing staff and the broader care team to meet the individual needs of those in our care.
Permanent and casual roles available.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting residents with personal care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
* Supporting residents with mobility and daily activities
* Assisting with meals and hydration
* Reporting health or wellbeing concerns to the nursing team
* Contributing to a safe, respectful, and positive environment
What You'll Need:
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Aged Care (required)
* Current Police Check; (required)
* Flexible availability and willingness to work morning, evening and night shifts as required.
* Previous experience in aged care or similar environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
