Project Collaboration: Procurement Specialist
The Opportunity
This role focuses on managing sourcing and procurement for site requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. You will work closely with the category manager to develop procurement strategies, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate contracts to optimise cost, quality, and lead times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Source and procure goods and services in accordance with project requirements and company procedures.
* Support the category manager in defining procurement strategies, vendor lists, and requests for proposal.
* Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers, prepare bid evaluations, and formalise purchase orders and agreements.
* Conduct cost and technical assessments of supplier offers, prepare recommendations, and secure approvals within established budgets.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, expediting deliveries to meet project deadlines.
* Collaborate with internal departments to identify procurement timelines and ensure accurate, timely deliverables.
* Conduct market surveys to identify competitive suppliers, optimise lead times, and achieve cost, quality, and safety objectives.
