Full-time ongoing employment & 35 hours per week
Attractive annual salary: $65,732 - $70,622 p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation
Mandatory paid induction program upon commencement (may be required to travel and stay at the training facility during specified periods)

What You’ll be doing:
We are looking for motivated and community-minded individuals who have a passion for emergency services and enjoy working in an outdoor-based physical role. By joining our Mitigation Crews, you will have the opportunity to reduce the risk of fires occurring within your community. You will have the opportunity to assist with the AIDER Program, hazard reduction activities, and support operations during emergency response.

What you’ll need to join our crews:
RFS Bush Firefighter (BF) qualification or its equivalent
A current Driver Licence (Class Provisional P1 or above)
A level of physical fitness appropriate for arduous bush firefighting or similar intense and sustained physical activity
First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain*

Important recruitment Information

Shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo a medical assessment through the RFS-approved medical provider (medical costs will be covered by the RFS).

Successful applicants will be required to attend a paid Induction Program.

Additional checks for successful applicants will include referee checks and criminal history checks.
