Our global team of 50+ professionals is headquartered in Cape Town, with commercial offices in the USA, Australia, Portugal, Spain, and South America.The OpportunityWe’re looking for a Business Development Manager to grow and support our customer base in Australia. The candidate needs to be ideally situated in or in the surrounds of Griffith, one of the core regions to our existing customer base, and where there is still significant room for growth. You’ll work closely with growers, offering Aerobotics’ innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity. This is more than a sales role; it’s an opportunity to be at the forefront of AgTech innovation, helping shape the future of farming.What makes this role unique:Develop customer strategy to optimize growth for the entire regionSell & deliver products to a wide range of horticultural customersWork with cutting-edge technology in agricultureDirect impact on the future of precision farmingWhat You’ll DoIdentify and build relationships with new customers in the horticultural sectorProvide hands-on product demonstrations and training at farms and officesDevelop and execute sales strategies that drive growth and profitabilityDevelop, implement and achieve revenue & profitability targets aligned with Aerobotics forecastsOptimize the customer decision journey to minimize spend and resources, and maximize purchases and repurchasesCollaborate with internal teams in South Africa to ensure seamless service deliveryPartner with the Product team to uncover new customer needs & inform product developmentStay ahead of industry trends and competitor activitiesRegular travel within the region to meet customers, and at times, attend conferences as necessaryWhat You’ll Need3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in agribusiness or AgTechBackground or experience in perennial tree crops, agronomy, or horticulture. Candidates with experience in perennial crops, particularly Citrus will be prioritized.Strong understanding of farming systems, soil science, nutrition, and irrigationExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to work independently and drive results without direct supervisionWorld-Class service delivery & customer-centric attitudeA valid driver’s license and own vehicleValid work permit for Australia (if applicable)Application ProcessSubmit your CV & a clear motivation for this role & AeroboticsPreliminary virtual interview with Head of PeopleTechnical Interview with Chief Commercial Officer & Business Development Manager – AustraliaTechnical assessmentFinal Interview with our CEO & CCO
