Employment Type: 2 × Full‐time, Temporary 10‐month contracts with possibility of extension and/or permanency.
Classification: Health Professional Officer Level 3 / Psychologist Level 3 (PN 25508, 45175).
Note: This role will be filled at either Health Professional Level 3 or Psychologist Level P3 depending on qualifications and experience, in line with the Enterprise Agreement.
Salary
Health Professional Level 3: $111,639 – $120,057 (Plus 12.5 % Super).
Psychologist Level 3: $123,014 – $133,492 (Plus 12.5 % Super).

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for two individuals who are highly experienced Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, or Social Workers to join the Forensic Mental Health Services team.
As a specialist area, clinicians within FMHS are provided specialist training and clinical supervision within forensic mental health care and are involved in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment. Clinicians are supported to learn about other program areas within FMHS and to maintain any continuing professional development requirements appropriate to the area of service provision, such as attendance at group supervision, research groups, and/or in‐services.
The successful candidates will have the ability to provide a high level of skilled clinical assessment and intervention to individuals and will be able to exercise independent judgment in solving problems and managing complex cases. They will also provide professional supervision, coaching and mentoring to Health Professional Level 1 and 2 staff, students and technical and other non‐professional staff, and effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders including other mental health services, ACT Youth Justice and ACT Law Courts.
Prerequisites Prior to Commencement
* Undergo a pre‐employment National Police Check.
* Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
* Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
* Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
