Overview
Safetech has an exciting opportunity for skilled Boilermakers looking for a permanent position at our Morwell site.
SUMMARY:
The Boilermaker will be required to take direction from the Fabrication Supervisor on the day to day activities on the production floor (Work in Progress, etc).
They will participate in all aspects of the fabrication to enable the manufacture of Safetech product with a focus of quality and on time customer delivery.
The reliable supply of product shall be met in accordance with the production plan while meeting all safety, health, environmental and cost objectives.
The Boilermaker should possess and demonstrate the following qualifications, qualities and skills:
The ideal applicant will have trade qualifications and have worked in your trade for at least 2 years.
Competency and confidence in all areas of their trade (in particular Mig welding).
Read and interpret technical drawings.
Follow instructions and work procedures.
Work independently and as part of a team.
High quality of workmanship, attention to detail.
Team focused attitude.
Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks – lifting, bending, twisting.
Reliability with excellent attendance and safety record.
Analyse problems and determine the best way to manufacture, repair and/or fix the problem.
Adhere to all safe work practices.
Accurately record the results of each task completed.
Forklift ticket or Rigging ticket would be advantageous but not essential.
Some understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S and process improvements would be beneficial but not essential.
