Salary Range: $88,923 - $92,670 + Attractive Superannuation
This role will support the management of the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Property and Sustainability section, which delivers a broad spectrum of enabling services to the department, including:
- facilities management
- fleet management
- property leasing
- sustainability
- project management of property construction projects
- stationery services
The section sits within the Integrity, Security, and Property Branch in the Chief People Officer Division.
**Duties**
- Manage the incoming daily facilities management requests Nationwide:
- acknowledging requests with issuer
- identify/problem solve best solutions to requests
- create associated work orders according to priority
- manage/track ongoing progress of requests to completion
- when required be on site to accommodate facility works.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with Jones Lang La Salle (JLL) Facilities Management team, internal DVA stakeholders and external stakeholders.
- Provide internal accommodation options/solutions for staffing requirements:
- liaise with Senior Executives and Executive Assistants to provide best options in an environment of limited resources.
- Provide leadership skills and training/cross skilling to associated team members - providing a mentoring and inspiring culture:
- participate in the Performance Feedback scheme
- ensure your staff have up to date Individual Performance Agreements and are provided with development opportunities.
- Assist with contract management of:
- national guarding contract
- national stationary contract
- national fleet contract
- other contracts as required.
- Assist with Property projects when required including the management of a de-clutter program and relocation activities for our National office relocation.
- Participate and contribute to team meetings and provide data for reporting requirements and QoN when required.
- Process financial transactions working within the DVA financial delegation framework.
**Eligibility**
- Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS).
- All applicants external to DVA offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a pre-engagement screening check, even if they have a security clearance. The screening check is conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements.
**Notes**
Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to 23 months.
A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.
