SoundBay Pty Ltd is an Australian supplier of Musical Instruments, DJ Equipment, Pro Audio and Lighting products servicing nightclubs, bars, DJ's, musicians and the trade. Best known as the parent company of Mannys Music and Store DJ, it operates eight retail stores in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane and currently employs over 200 staff. This position is in Victoria St at the National Head Office in Richmond, where we enjoy a spacious modern office with an abundance of natural light and close access to public transport.
We're looking for a terrific Finance Coordinator for a
6 month contract
with an interest in AR to join our growing team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position entails various responsibilities across the finance department. As part of your role, you will have full responsibility for the Accounts Receivable function for SoundBay as well as Retail Customer Support. You will also be responsible for bank reconciliations and associated POS transactions. Additionally, you will have diverse responsibilities across finance and administration, with an emphasis on streamlining current processes to enhance efficiency.
Regular Duties include:
Responsible for Accounts Receivable ledger including full credit control responsibilities and customer account reconciliations
Responsible for Accounts Receivable and other month-end reporting
Assessment of customer risk and credit analysis, evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers and monitor credit limits of all accounts.
Provide support to the Education Sales team and Retail Stores, assisting with customer queries and POS transactions.
Responsible for various bank, merchant and POS clearing account reconciliations
Follow up and resolution of fraud transactions and end of month fraud reporting.
Accounting and management of Deferred Revenue
Various projects and other finance and administration related tasks.
Skills and Experience Required:
An ability to meet stringent reporting deadlines and high volumes of information.
Strong communication and negotiation skills that allow you to liaise with debtors, and internal stakeholders.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills and an understanding of / experience with the reconciliation process and processing of Accounts Receivable.
An ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks to a high level of quality.
Consider yourself diligent, efficient, and a true 'team player'
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in accounts receivable or credit control roles
