Pindari was established in 1997 and is nowconsidered one of regional WA’s most experienced and trusted owner operated Aboriginal Contractors. It has an extensive portfolio of blue-chip mining industry clients in the Pilbara and South-West.
The Company delivers a range of integrated building, electrical, maintenance and labour services, with nearly 400 Western Australian based employees and a 20% Indigenous employment benchmark. Pindari’s annual revenues are circa $75 million.
Pindari’s Building Trades & Maintenance Division has multidisciplinary trades teams delivering a portfolio of comprehensive building, electrical, asset management and maintenance projects and services.
About This Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, this newly created position of General Manager, Building Trades & Maintenance will shape operational strategy, drive sustainable growth and lead teams across multiple sites, whilst building on Pindari’s respected partnerships with industry-leading clients and developing recent contract opportunities.
You will be the operational backbone of this growing Division of Pindari, responsible for cultivating a stable pipeline of maintenance work, delivering excellent end-to-end service, managing a diverse portfolio ranging from minor works to major projects, with current building projects valued at circa $20 million and trades maintenance contracts of circa $40 million.
About You
This role requires a leader who can seamlessly move between strategic planning at Pindari’s corporate offices and hands-on site based operational management and frontline leadership across remote mine sites and towns.
It is envisaged that you will hold trade qualifications and/or related building trades services experience, preferably with additional tertiary qualifications or significant experience in commercially focused business management positions.
Essential to this role is proven hands on experience leading and managing operational trades-based teams with diverse responsibilities, demonstrating a strong record of contract management, fostering a high-performance, compliance and safety culture.
Commercial acumen is essential, with proven skills in managing building and trades services tenders, RFQs, projects, budgets, resource and financial forecasting, Board level reporting and operational delivery.
Working between Pindari’s corporate offices in Dunsborough and its Osborne Park satellite office, with regular travel to operational sites across the Pilbara and South West regions, this position requires flexibility and the ability to lead at both a corporate and operational level.
