Enel X has an established business in Australia & New Zealand with ambitious growth objectives. Our mission in Australia is to help accelerate the Country's transition to renewable energy. We do this by building virtual power plant (VPP) resources that solve new challenges created by the intermittency of variable wind and solar power stations. Enel X is the market leader in this space, operating the largest VPP in Australia today.
Our VPP is comprised of distributed energy resources that are embedded within businesses across Australia. In joining our VPP, these businesses earn a new revenue stream by making their resources available to support the power system. These resources are orchestrated by Enel X's 24/7 real-time trading and optimisation platform, which is unparalleled in the market today. Our market-leading VPP today includes more than 200 businesses across diverse industry sectors.

The Role
In this role, you will join a world-class operations team that is working to connect new businesses to our VPP. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Energy Markets, you will be responsible for establishing and delivering on innovative ways for distributed energy resources to participate in the electricity markets.
* Managing demand management programs across Australia, using data-driven models to predict system peak load
* Ownership of utility and customer operations of our battery energy storage portfolio
* Analyzing the market data for Australia and New Zealand to deliver insight to Program Managers
* Analyzing electricity meter data from our portfolio of sites across the region
* Providing analytical support and approach for Program Managers across the regions
* Conducting market analysis for both domestic energy markets
* Conducting financial analysis for our demand respond and energy portfolios
* Managing/Assisting in market settlement and reconciliation processes
* Finding ways to improve our processes to be more efficient or less error-prone
Key To Success
In order to succeed in this role, you will have the following attributes:
* An intellectually curious mind. We are in a fast-paced industry, so we want someone unafraid of the unknown and who thrives on learning new things
* Bachelor's degree or higher in technical field such as Engineering, Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience
* Experience in analysis through coding, most relevant languages R, Python, SQL
* Proven aptitude for data led decision-making and problem solving, understands and can communicate the impacts of such choices
* Advanced numerical analysis skillset
* Project management skills including ability to multitask, prioritise, set and meet deadlines, work independently, and perform tasks with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
* Understanding of, and experience in, Australian energy markets is preferred
* Self-motivated, comfortable operating without day-to-day direction
* Ability to work in teams, in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills
