Kapunda High School is a medium-sized country high school with a diverse student body of around 600 students.
The school is located in the town of Kapunda, which is renowned for being Australia's oldest mining town. We are one of the oldest secondary schools in rural South Australia and celebrated our centenary in the year we turned 100.
Our students come from a wide socio-economic cross-section, with varying values and abilities. They hail from the Kapunda township and surrounding districts, including Freeling, Roseworthy, Wasleys, and Gawler.
We are seeking a dedicated teacher with an interest in Special Education to work with our special needs students in Nurture and Tailored Learning classes.
This role involves working with small groups of students and the intervention SSO team to plan and deliver a program centered around literacy, numeracy, and other learning areas of interest through enquiry-based learning.
Key responsibilities include:
* Working collaboratively with the special education team to develop and implement individualized learning plans
* Providing support and guidance to students with diverse learning needs
* Contributing to the development of curriculum materials and resources
