Consultant, Property Assessing
, where outstanding service meets operational excellence. In this role, you'll be a vital link between customers, preferred suppliers, and Property Assessors, ensuring smooth workflow, timely referral allocation, and exceptional support across the team. Your work helps us deliver efficient, accurate claims experiences and keeps our assessing function ready for anything. This is a permanent full-time role, can be based anywhere in NZ within an expectation to work from one of the IAG offices for at least 2 days a week.
Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do
* Provide the first point of assistance for internal and external users of Property Assessing systems, identifying issues and resolving them promptly.
* Act as the initial contact for Property Assessing process queries, logging and escalating calls where required.
* Contribute to monitoring service levels and updating management information systems.
* Ensure efficient allocation of referrals, including quality‑checking referral data, to internal and external suppliers.
* Manage administration of claims once allocated by a Property Assessor, including updating legacy systems.
* Build strong working relationships with customers, preferred suppliers, and assessors.
* Support customer satisfaction results by liaising with policyholders regarding aspects of their claim or salvage arrangements.

* Experience performing administrative tasks in an office environment.
* Proven customer service skills, including phone‑based service delivery.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT platforms relevant to claims or assessing.
* Understanding of the insurance claims environment and associated technical processes.
* Ability to process high volumes of work accurately, multitask effectively, and prioritise competing demands.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate constructively across all levels.
* Problem‑solving capability and an eye for identifying process inconsistencies or inefficiencies.
