About Our ClientOur client, a well‑known utilities organisation, is currently seeking experienced Collections Consultants to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable business built on a strong foundation of exceptional customer service and community support. As the organisation continues to expand, they are looking to add multiple Collections Consultants to their team. **Your new role*In this role, you will support customers who may be experiencing financial difficulty. You will play a key part in reducing arrears, negotiating payment outcomes, and ensuring every customer receives respectful, ethical and empathetic service. *Key Responsibilities:**
• Manage and monitor early‑stage accounts
• Contact customers to negotiate repayment arrangements and take payments
• Identify and assess customers for inclusion in hardship programs
• Maintain ethical collection practices and adhere to regulatory requirements
• Keep detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and outcomes
• Escalate high‑risk, vulnerable or potential fraud cases when required
• Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues
• Look for opportunities to improve processes and enhance customer experience *What you'll need to succeed*
• Previous experience in debt recovery, collections, credit management or a similar function
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with customers
• Experience negotiating payment schedules and handling difficult conversations professionally
• Demonstrated empathy and resilience when dealing with hardship cases
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping
• Understanding of collections compliance and hardship frameworks is highly regarded *What you'll get in return*
