Overview
Sonder is hiring for a Mental Health Clinician role in Port Adelaide, South Australia. The position may involve roles for Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist (OT) or Mental Health Nurse within a primary care setting focused on perinatal and infant mental health.
Responsibilities
- Provide focused psychological interventions in a primary care setting, from triage to suicide prevention.
- Support perinatal and infant mental health, contribute to group program development and individual care planning.
- Liaise with other professionals and participate in assessments and treatments as part of a care team.
Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 2 years in the mental health area, including perinatal, infant mental health and family wellbeing (0-11 years).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional development or supervision.
- Experience delivering individual and group therapy in the perinatal and family wellbeing space using evidence-based interventions.
- Experience assessing and treating clients with mental health and/or substance use issues.
Credential Requirements
- Drivers licence; Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Clearance (current or willing to obtain).
- Qualified in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Mental Health Nursing with appropriate registration/licensure: e.g., AHPRA for psychologists/OT, AASW for social workers, Australian College of Mental Health Nurses for nurses, or equivalent.
Role and Registration Details
- Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist: Approved Masters or equivalent; two or more years in clinical mental health; registered with AHPRA.
- Clinical Psychologist: Meets Psychology Board of Australia endorsement requirements.
- Mental Health Nurse: Accredited with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses; two years in clinical mental health settings.
- Social Worker: Approved degree; eligibility for AASW membership and Mental Health accreditation; two years in clinical mental health settings.
- Occupational Therapist: Registered with AHPRA; approved degree; two years in clinical mental health settings.

- Hours: Part Time (0.6 FTE), ongoing
