About the Role
NK & J Smash Repairs Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified vehicle painter to join our workshop in Bentley, WA.
The role involves preparing, painting, and finishing vehicles to a high standard.
You will work with a small team that focuses on reliable service and careful workmanship.
Responsibilities
Preparing vehicle bodies and panels by cleaning, sanding, filling minor defects, and masking areas to be protected.
Mixing paints and adjusting colours so the finish matches the original surface or required specification.
Applying primers, sealers, basecoats, and clear coats using appropriate spray equipment and controlled techniques.
Monitoring drying and curing conditions and adjusting methods to achieve an even and durable finish.
Inspecting painted surfaces, correcting imperfections, and ensuring the final result meets workshop quality standards.
Maintaining spray guns, booths, and related equipment, and keeping materials stored and handled safely.
Recording work undertaken, materials used, and any variations required for workshop, insurance, or regulatory purposes.
Qualifications & Experience
Cert III with two years of relevant experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
