Moranbah Hospital | Mackay Hospital and Health Service is located in the Isaac Regional Shire in the town of Moranbah. The Moranbah Health Service consists of Moranbah Hospital, Community & Allied Health, Mental Health & AODS services. Moranbah Hospital has a 12-bed acute inpatient facility and an emergency department service. In addition, Specialist Outpatients, Medical Imaging – x-ray and ultrasound, and a range of telehealth services.
Develop and maintain a high-quality, effective, efficient and equitable clinical service to hospital clients. Provide education of medical staff and students, allied health, interested community groups and nursing staff and co-ordinate as necessary with other personnel within the hospital, other hospital services and agencies to ensure optimum patient care, and to ensure integration of services in the wider community.
Remuneration (80 hours p.f.):
Remuneration value of up to $378,245 p.a. comprising salary between $182,106 - $204,910 p.a. (L13-L17); or remuneration value of up to $456,436 p.a. comprising salary between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18-L24); or remuneration value of up to $498,759 p.a. comprising salary between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27); and employer superannuation contribution (up to 12.75%); annual leave loading (17.5%); professional development allowance; professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a.; professional indemnity cover; plus overtime and on-call allowances.
Other requirements:
Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution, and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
Fellowship of either ACRRM (Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine) or RACGP (FRACGP or FARGP) or enrolment in a training program to these Fellowships (Advanced Registrar enrolled in the AGPT or RVTS or ACRRM Independent training programs are also eligible).
Completion of an Advanced Skill (or equivalent) and proficiency and eligibility for credentialing by the MHHS credentialing committee as a FRACGP-RG, FACRRM, FARGP with one or more of the advanced skills in Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Remote Medicine, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, Mental Health, Paediatrics and/or Palliative Care would be highly desirable.
Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements –it is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough).
Hepatitis B Vaccination– Health Care Workers in Queensland Health whose occupation poses a potential risk of exposure to blood or body fluids must be immunised against Hepatitis B according to the National Health and Medical Research Council Australian Immunisation Handbook and the Queensland Health Infection Control Guidelines.
