This is a permanent full-time role in a local council where you will drive strategic planning and delivery of community facilities that respond to the evolving needs of diverse communities. About the Role
You will develop and implement strategic plans and policies that guide the city's approach to community infrastructure and recreation programs. This includes monitoring trends in sport, recreation, and open spaces to provide advice and solutions that address the city's long-term needs.
Key responsibilities include leading engagement with key stakeholders, including community groups, government agencies, sporting clubs, and residents, to identify existing and emerging recreation and facility needs. You will also manage and deliver key projects, including those identified in the city's Community Infrastructure Plan and Recreation Plan.
Fostering strategic partnerships with external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and investment in community recreation is another critical aspect of this role. Leading and mentoring a team of passionate professionals is also an essential part of your responsibilities.
