Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) | UniSC Sunshine Coast Campus, Sippy Downs or UniSC Moreton Bay, Petrie.Level 7, $105,843 - $115,703 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation.Full‐time (36.25 hrs per week), fixed‐term appointment for two years.
The Opportunity
As part of CLT, you will join a team that works collaboratively across the University to improve student success, build capability, and support institutional effectiveness through evidence‐based learning and teaching practice. CLT provides scholarly advice and support for curriculum design, blended and online learning, and the implementation of learning innovations that enhance the student experience.
As an Educational Designer within CLT, you will work in partnership with academic and professional staff to design, develop and deliver high‐quality blended and online learning environments that support curriculum innovation and student success. Reporting to the Education Transformation Fellow, you will provide expert advice, professional learning and resources to enable the effective integration of educational technologies across programmes and courses. You will play a key role in building institutional capability in blended learning, supporting strategic change initiatives, and promoting evidence‐based, innovative and technology‐enhanced learning practices across the University.
You will
* Design, develop and deliver blended and online learning environments and professional learning activities that enhance curriculum quality and student outcomes.
* Partner with academic staff to support curriculum design and renewal, providing expert advice on contemporary pedagogy, educational technologies and universal design for learning.
* Lead and contribute to technology‐enhanced learning projects and initiatives that build institutional capability and promote innovative learning and teaching practices.
About you
You are an experienced education professional with strong expertise in learning design and educational technologies, and a passion for improving learning and teaching practice in higher education. You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate confidently with diverse stakeholders, and are skilled at translating pedagogical principles into practical, high‐quality learning solutions. Highly analytical and solutions‐focused, you bring a proactive approach to problem‐solving and continuous improvement.
Requirements
* Completion of a degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education/training.
* Demonstrated experience in survey design, administration, and data analysis, including use of business intelligence tools and evaluation‐related software platforms.
* Experience in supervising staff and leading team‐based projects or initiatives.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience in interpreting and implementing policy and procedure requirements.
* Proven ability to develop and improve business processes and documentation.
* Experience in coordinating external benchmarking or academic calibration activities.
* Demonstrated experience in delivering innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
* High‐level organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines independently.
