Pastry Expert Required
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Expert to join our team. As a key member of the bakery, you will be responsible for creating high-quality pastries and desserts that exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all equipment and workstations are clean and comply with health and safety regulations.
* Weigh and measure ingredients accurately, checking the quality of raw materials and kneading dough manually or using industrial machinery.
* Mix, shape, load, bake, unload, de-pan, and cool pastry products efficiently.
* Monitor freshness of baked goods and glaze according to requirements.
* Train and manage Back of House staff, delivering induction programs and ongoing training.
* Manage inventory levels, liaise with retail staff, and order stock within budget.
To succeed in this role, you will require relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Baking, or equivalent experience, and at least three years of experience as a Pastry Expert in a similar capacity. You should possess excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, problem-solving skills, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and create a positive team environment.
