THE ROLE
National Self Insurance is an arm of EML that caters to employer’s who are self-insured for their workers compensation requirements and have partnered with EML to administer their claims management function.
NSI currently have a national offering for our employer partners, and have offices in Brisbane, Parramatta, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
We now have an opportunity available for a Technical Specialist and as part of our diverse team based in Melbourne, you’ll help make a positive impact on someone’s life every day. You’ll feel great satisfaction knowing your talent and hard work has a purpose.
You will use your previous experience as a Case Manager/Senior Case Manager or Technical Specialist to coach team members and provide creative and strategic advice in accordance with workers compensation guidelines. This exciting role requires a motivated self-starter to provide technical support and advice to Case Managers.
This will be a full time, permanent position based in the Melbourne office, with flexibility to work from home.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
11. Review and maintain compliance with policies and procedures, including the application and implementation of amendments
12. Participating in meetings with claims teams to provide progress updates and recommendations
13. Developing effective working relationships with the claims teams to identify areas for operational improvement across multiple client portfolios
14. Establishing effective mechanisms for providing technical feedback (including at an individual and team level), updates and learnings
15. Assist with building quality initiatives into EML business processes
ABOUT YOU
16. Experience in Influencing, coaching and relationship development skills
17. Understanding of relevant VIC workers compensation legislation
18. Capability to understand operational application of legislation requirements
19. Effective oral and written communication skills
20. Excellent presentation skills
21. Best practice dispute resolution, negotiation and mediation
22. Capability to develop and support continuous improvement initiatives
