Job Overview
The role of Heavy Duty Mechanic involves the repair and maintenance of prime movers, rigid vehicles, and LPG tankers. The successful candidate will hold a relevant trade qualification and experience working on various vehicle types including Kenworth, Mack, Volvo, UD, Isuzu, and Hino.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine and specialist diagnoses of vehicle/plant failures and implement resolutions.
* Maintain compliance with national health and safety regulations while ensuring workplace health and safety standards are met.
* Handle high-volume workloads and adapt to changing priority schedules.
Requirements:
* A relevant trade qualification in Heavy Duty Mechanic (apprentices considered).
* A car licence is essential; HR and MC licences are desirable.
* Dangerous goods licence, forklift high-risk licence, and working at heights are desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and a drive to lead by example.
