About the Role
As the Health & Safety Officer, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff across multiple aged care sites. You will lead proactive safety initiatives, support compliance, and foster a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and review WHS policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
* Identify hazards and implement corrective actions
* Deliver safety training and toolbox presentations to staff
* Support leadership teams in driving a strong safety culture
* Ensure compliance with relevant aged care and WHS legislation
* Prepare reports, data analysis, and recommendations for continuous improvement
About You
* Experience in a WHS role within the aged care sector
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and best practice
* Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or similar)
* Ability to influence a positive safety culture across diverse teams
Salary: up to $110,000 + super
