Position Title: Assistant in Nursing (1-4), Primary Care, Casual - Bathurst Correctional Centre
Role and Responsibilities
The role involves undertaking activities for which the employee has the legal authority and competence to perform (refer to the Scope of Practice document). The person performing the delegated activity is accountable for their own actions and to the Registered Nurse (RN). Supervision means the direction and guidance given by an RN to an Assistant in Nursing (AIN). Supervision may be direct or indirect according to the nature of the work delegated to the AIN.
Location
Bathurst Correctional Centre is a mixed-security facility for male offenders located in the centre of Bathurst, 1 hour from Orange and the Blue Mountains, and 210 kilometres west of Sydney. On-site you'll work with a close-knit clinical team led by a Nurse Unit Manager in a Primary care setting with opportunities for training and collaboration across Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol, Population Health, and Aboriginal Chronic Care teams.
