About the role
We're a small surveying business based in Canberra, and we're looking for someone to join the team as a Survey Assistant.
Most of the work is outdoors, helping our surveyors get the job done. No two days are the same; some days are straightforward, others are a bit more hands-on.
This role would suit someone who's keen to learn, enjoys being outside, and takes pride in doing things properly.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the talented team at ACT Survey as a Survey Assistant. You will be based in Canberra, working in a casual role supporting our experienced surveying professionals. This is the perfect chance to build your skills and experience in the construction surveying industry.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting surveyors on site
* Carrying and setting up equipment
* Taking measurements and helping collect field data (attention to detail)
* General on-site support
What we're looking for
* Reliable and turns up on time (this one matters)
* Easy to get along with and communicates well
* Willing to learn and have a go
* Comfortable working outdoors and on your feet most of the day
* Reasonably fit – some days involve a fair bit of walking and carrying gear
* Australian citizenship required
Prior experience is a bonus, but not essential.
