Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities? New Haven Farm Home is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis. We're in need of flexible working staff. Initially the role would start as casual and convert to permanent part time following a probation period.

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience in disability or community care (NDIS/residential preferred).
* Competency in personal care, safe manual handling, infection control.
* Strong written communication and accurate documentation skills.
* Confidence with behaviour support plans and de‑escalation.
* Medication training/competency (or willingness to complete).
* Reliable, calm under pressure; values dignity, choice, and human rights.
* Current checks: WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid/CPR, driver's license.
* Desirable: Cert III/IV in Disability; mental health experience or passion for industry and willingness to learn

About the Role:

As a Disability Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary depending on the shift and client needs. Duties may include:

o Transporting clients to appointments and community activities
o Supporting clients with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and general household maintenance
o Providing personal care, including showering, toileting, and dressing
o Administering and assisting with medications
o Supporting clients with behaviours of concern
o Engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote skill development and independence
o Completing administrative tasks such as scanning and renaming documents

Flexibility is essential for success in this role, as is a willingness to work across different sites and adapt to changing needs.

Qualifications:

* CPR and First Aid
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Completion of internal training modules as part of induction.
