About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our crucial support team as an Activity and Lifestyle Assistant at Bert Newton in Highett. This is a casual position with no set days or hours. However, our lifestyle shifts are either 0930 - 1630 or 1000 - 1500. Please specify in your application your availability - weekday availability is a MUST.
* Promote happiness, wellbeing, and quality of life for all residents
* Work closely with the activities team to ensure our events calendar runs smoothly
* Run our resident bingo - it sure is a fan favourite
* Assist in the delivery of various workshops, social and craft activities. Anything from bake offs, fashion shows and even floristry demonstrations
* Accompany residents on various outings
About You
To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:
* Strong empathy
* Outstanding communication skills
* A creative flair you're not afraid to let shine
* Certificate III/IV in Leisure & Lifestyle is desired (but not essential for the right candidate)
