Based in our Redcliffe Office, Monday to Friday (10-hour day), the Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and directing all financial activities of Daltech as well as leading our finance function. The Financial Controller plays a critical role in financial planning and strategy development to ensure the financial health and stability of Daltech.

Reporting to the Managing Directors, this role is integral to ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance across Daltech.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead, build and manage a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
* Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data accuracy.
* Business Partnering with other leaders to achieve KPIs and existing actions.
* Maintain effective communication (monthly executive summary & presentation) with all stakeholders ensuring transparency.
* Financial Strategy: by leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling efforts, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
* Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives and long-term goals.
* Evaluate, implement, and maintain financial software and systems to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.
* Stay updated on technological advancements in finance and recommend appropriate tools and solutions. Safeguard the business from ITC risks.
* Identify and manage financial risks, including credit, liquidity, and market risks, while implementing strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
* Oversee the company's cash flow to ensure liquidity needs are met and optimise working capital.
* Oversee the financial management of insurance arrangements (policy renewals, premium funding proposals), ensuring appropriate coverage, cost efficiency and alignment with business risks.
* Ensure all insurance related financial transaction, including recurring journals and accruals are properly recorder and compliant with accounting standards.
* Provide strategic financial advice through collaboration with directors and senior managers to provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
* Financial due diligence and financial integration to support mergers and acquisitions.
Candidate Profile
* Over 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including time in senior management roles with experience coming from the same or a similar industry being preferred.
* Tertiary qualification: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field with Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation or a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
* Demonstrated experience in financial leadership, regulations, accounting principles (e.g., GAAP or IFRS), and financial reporting.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
* Strategic thinking and a demonstrated ability to contribute to overall business strategy.
* Proficiency in financial software and tools, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge with strong analytical and communication skills.
* High standards of integrity and ethical conduct in financial management.
