Concrete Agitator Driver / Concrete Batcher – Devonport Drive, Deliver, and Develop – with Heidelberg Materials Australia We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Devonport Concrete Plant in northwest Tasmania. This is a driving-focused role where you’ll be behind the wheel of a concrete agitator truck, delivering high-quality product to a range of customers. You’ll also assist with concrete batching and plant operations when needed — offering variety and valuable upskilling. Your day-to-day (majority driving, with batching support): Driving & Delivery Safely operate a concrete agitator truck to deliver concrete to customers Complete a structured 10-day training program covering agitator operation, slump testing, and safe delivery Deliver concrete to local construction sites with a strong customer service approach Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete pre-start checks daily Represent Heidelberg Materials professionally at all times on the road and on-site Batching & Plant Operations Support the operation of the batch plant when needed Assist in material handling using a front-end loader (training provided if required) Monitor product quality and help manage raw materials Perform basic maintenance and contribute to plant housekeeping and safety You’ll be a great fit if you: Hold a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) licence Are keen to get hands-on and learn the batching side of concrete production Have (or are willing to obtain) a White Card Can commit to a Monday to Friday schedule with rostered Saturday half-days and overtime Enjoy working in a team and are focused on safety and customer satisfaction Are physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks What’s in it for you: Competitive pay: $29.13 – $31.03 per hour penalties super Consistent hours and local work – be home every night FEL training provided if not already qualified Join a global leader in construction materials with real career pathways Supportive team culture and ongoing development opportunities Heidelberg Materials Australia is an equal opportunity employer, and we employ people from all walks of life.
