About the role
Due to exciting business growth, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced personal to lead our Bakery, Pastry and Kitchen departments across multiple sites.
In this key leadership role, you will oversee daily production operations, ensure the highest standards of quality and safety, and create a high-performance team culture.
Your expertise will drive efficiency, innovation, and profitability while maintaining our commitment to exceptional food standards and a safe working environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and optimising production schedules, ensuring quality, efficiency and minimal waste
Managing and developing a high-performing production team, including recruitment, training, and mentoring and performance management
Controlling costs, managing inventory and negotiating with suppliers to ensure timely, quality supplies within budget
Maintaining operational safety standards and oversee equipment maintenance and fault management
Overseeing food safety, HACCP compliance and workplace safety policies
Driving product development and continuous improvement initiatives
Fostering collaboration across departments to enhance overall efficiency and customer satisfaction
About you
The right person for this role will be a passionate and experienced food production leader with a strong background in high-end hospitality kitchens or large-scale bakery operations.
You are hands-on and excel at managing teams, streamlining processes and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Your leadership style inspires collaboration and high performance, and you have a proven ability to drive innovation while maintaining strict compliance with food safety and industry regulations.

To be considered for this role, you will also bring:
Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP), workplace safety, and regulatory compliance
Budget management expertise, including wages, COGS, overheads, and financial controls
Proficient in supplier negotiations, procurement, and ensuring quality and timely supplies
Knowledge of equipment maintenance, safety procedures, and fault management
Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-departmental coordination and stakeholder engagement
