The opportunity
Our client, a well-established national manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join their planning team based in Cavan. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment, supporting daily operations across a large and complex manufacturing network.
This role will also suit Team Leaders or Production Supervisors who are looking to take the next step into a planning-focused position and broaden their exposure beyond day-to-day operations.
Working closely with production, operations, and project stakeholders, you'll play a key role in translating delivery requirements into achievable production plans while driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and maintain daily production plans aligned with capacity and demand
* Monitor production performance and collaborate with production and transport teams to optimise outcomes
* Coordinate and manage key internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery
* Allocate and prioritise work across multiple production facilities
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support safety, quality, and performance standards
* Liaise with operations, project managers, and customers to convert delivery programs into production schedules
About you
You are an experienced planner or an operational leader ready to step into a planning role. You thrive in a dynamic, operationally focused environment and are confident managing competing priorities and complex timelines.
You will also bring:
* Experience within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or construction environments
* Background as a Production Planner, Team Leader, or Production Supervisor
* Strong understanding of production operations and scheduling
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
