About the Role
Palace Cinemas is seeking an energetic and relationship-driven National Events Manager to join our Head Office team on a
13 month maternity leave contract

You'll be the primary contact for key national clients and stakeholders, overseeing high-value enquiries end-to-end and ensuring exceptional delivery and strong commercial outcomes. You'll lead and support various state-based event teams who manage local and venue-specific bookings, working together to maximise results nationwide.
Experience in events, hospitality, tourism, entertainment or corporate sales will set you up for success.
Key Responsibilities
Drive revenue growth through proactive business development, sales outreach, and account management
Manage end-to-end corporate and group bookings, from enquiry to event delivery
Build strong, lasting relationships with corporate clients, community partners and local businesses
Identify and develop new opportunities for private cinema hires, launches and film festivals
Work closely with Cinema Managers and Head Office teams to ensure seamless delivery
Track pipeline, activity and results against targets, with clear reporting and forecasting
Provide close, hands-on management of a team of event coordinators to ensure smooth planning and delivery of all events
Key Skills & Experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a polished, professional approach
Demonstrated ability to build new client relationships and convert leads into sales
Highly organised and detail-focused, managing multiple bookings and priorities with ease
Self-motivated and proactive, comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet during live events
Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace tools
Experience in hospitality, cinema, entertainment or multi-site venues is highly regarded
Additional information
Palace Cinemas is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
This role is primarily 9-5 weekdays, but may include occasional evening, weekend, or public holiday work aligned to event requirements.
This is a full-time, 13 month contract role, ideally commencing in late January ****.
