Epworth Freemasons provides a range of world-class health services and is one of Victoria's leading maternity hospitals. Epworth Freemasons specialises in women’s and men’s health services including breast and gynaecological surgery, endoscopy and urology.The Maternity Services department consists of 9 birth suites, 10 bed special care nursery, 34 bed postnatal unit and a 4 bed hospital in the Park Hyatt Hotel and currently accommodates approximately 3,000 births per annum.Job DescriptionJoin one of Melbourne's leading Maternity Services departments on a full time or part time basis. As a permanent Night Duty Midwife you will have full access to Epworths suite of employee benefits, plus enhanced salary packaging.In this role, your night will commence at 9.30pm until 7.30am and you will be rotating across the Delivery Suite and the Postnatal ward.Our team is highly supportive, inclusive, and you will play a key role in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided to women and their families.You will make an impact by:Delivering an exceptional patient experience to women, their partners/families and their babies to have positive pregnancy, birth and postnatal experienceProviding a high standard of midwifery careEncouraging and role-modelling empathy to patients and familiesTo be successful in this role…An excellent communicator, you value team work and strong camaraderie as you place the patient at the heart of all your decisions. Flexibility in your thinking, patience and the ability to manage multiple priorities is vital to your success.You will have:Current unrestricted midwifery registration with AHPRAA minimum of 2 years Post Graduate experiencePrevious experience working in a Birth Suite or Post Natal wardContemporary knowledge of best practice in maternity and newborn nursing care and the patient journeyWe will review applications as we receive them.QualificationsAdditional InformationIt’s the sense of belonging and being part of an organisation that puts the patient in the centre of all that is done.
