Soil Technician Role
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Soil Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you will work with autonomy and receive ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct soil testing for construction projects in line with industry standards
* Use testing tools and equipment accurately in the field
* Collect and record data in real-time
* Communicate with clients to assess their testing needs and provide accurate results
* Mentor and support junior team members
Requirements:
1. A Certificate III in Laboratory Skills or Construction Material Testing
2. A current license to operate nuclear density gauges
3. At least 2 years' experience in field-based soil testing
4. Strong knowledge of industry standards
5. Confidence in mentoring and supporting junior technicians
