Culinary Leader Wanted
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen leadership, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our high-volume venue.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in all areas of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating standards. They will also lead by example, driving consistency and quality across all menus, from our elevated pub classics to premium sports-bar dining.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Head Chef in kitchen operations
2. Lead food preparation, cooking, and plating standards
3. Maintain consistency across all dishes and presentation
4. Champion food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance
5. Mentor and develop junior kitchen staff
6. Assist with menu development, cost management, and recipe creation
Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need:
* Experience as a Sous Chef or strong background as a Senior/Commis Chef ready to step up
* Culinary qualifications or equivalent professional experience
* Strong knowledge of modern Australian cuisine, cooking techniques, and presentation
* High attention to detail with a passion for premium hospitality
* Ability to thrive in a busy, high-volume kitchen
* Strong communication and leadership qualities
