Compliance Specialist - HSEQ Role
This position is ideal for an experienced professional seeking a challenging opportunity to oversee and ensure compliance across various construction remediation projects in Brisbane and surrounding areas.
Job Description
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing support of HSEQ compliance, management plans, and procedures across a range of construction and remediation defense projects. This involves assisting project teams in the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation, coaching and advising site personnel on legislative requirements, administering incident and hazard reporting processes, and encouraging a healthy, safe, and environmentally responsible working culture amongst personnel.
Additional responsibilities include conducting HSEQ site inspections and audits, coaching site teams on effective delivery of pre-start meetings and toolbox meetings, coordinating HESQ training programs, analyzing HSEQ performance, reporting, and system updates, and maintaining the company's integrated management system to an accredited level.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as an HSE advisor within the construction industry
* Exposure to mast climbers, swing stages, scaffold access methods for high-rise works
* Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a related discipline
* Experience in creating and reviewing management plans, SWMS, JHA's, and conducting audits
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage deadlines
* Understanding of quality management processes
* Ability to operate autonomously while ensuring project efficiency
