Qualifications & Requirements
* At least 3 years of experience in baking or pastry cooking, or a Certificate III in Baking/Bread Baking/Patisserie.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Robust commitment to product quality and reliability.
* Experience in creating and maintaining high-quality baked goods.
* Familiarity with equipment operation and workplace hygiene standards.
* Ability to work at least 5 days a week.
* Available to work on weekend and public holiday.
Duties & Responsibilities
Dough Preparation and Handling
* Mix and prepare dough from scratch using fresh ingredients.
* Knead, mature, cut, mould, and shape dough for various bread and pastry products.
* Ensure the quality of raw materials by checking and weighing ingredients.
Baking Process Management
* Monitor oven temperatures and adjust baking times to ensure optimal product quality.
* Coordinate the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of batches of bread, rolls, and pastries.
Equipment and Workplace Maintenance
* Check the cleanliness of equipment and the operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
* Operate machines that roll and mould dough.
* Empty, clean, and grease baking trays, tins, and other baking equipment.
* Maintain a clean and hygienic working area.
Product Quality and Consistency
* Ensure products are baked to high-quality standards, focusing on consistency in appearance and taste.
* Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products to maintain high standards.
Production Planning and Efficiency
* Plan and follow the daily production schedule, starting from early morning dough preparation.
* Optimize the use of equipment and resources to maintain production efficiency.
Marketing and Product Innovation
* Participate in the development of current products and recipes, focusing on seasonal and specialty items.
* Support marketing initiatives by preparing products for special campaigns and promotional events.
