Key duties include:
* Managing the day-to-day operations of a poultry farm housing approximately 300,000 birds
* Supporting the raising, care, and monitoring of poultry
* Monitoring bird health, welfare, behaviour, and overall production conditions
* Monitoring environmental conditions within poultry sheds and adjusting systems as required to support productivity and animal welfare
* Implementing and maintaining biosecurity protocols and farm hygiene standards
* Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and operational requirements
* Managing feed inventory, including accurate ordering and coordination with suppliers to maintain continuous supply
* Carrying out routine farm maintenance and basic electrical repairs to ensure the smooth operation of farm facilities and equipment
* Assisting with the upkeep of poultry housing, watering, feeding, and other farm infrastructure
* Maintaining accurate farm and production records
