Job Description:
* We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing buildings, conducting inspections, assessments and reporting. They will work collaboratively with architects, project managers, building services and civil engineers in multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects.
This is an opportunity to leverage your skills across a balance of technical work, project management and client relationships. You will be involved in the structural design of buildings, along with inspections, assessments, and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
* 3- 6 years' industry experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment.
* Experience utilising a broad range of skills across various types of buildings and materials.
* Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
* Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
